Job Purpose The IT/OT Client Technologies Specialist is primarily responsible for the IT client environment and covers workshop areas known as OT (Operational Technologies), which focus on the industrial landscape. They perform tasks to improve and support the desktop environment, provide specialized IT services (e.g., support for high-level meetings, root cause analysis, client consulting), and provide services related to IT facilities (e.g., audiovisual environment, security systems, printers/copiers). The Client Technologies Specialist also provides on-site support to Service Desk teams as needed. Key Responsibilities Service DeliveryHelps build IT service relationships with customers Ensures that quality services are delivered in accordance with the agreed-upon SLA Willing to be part of distributed service teams and take ownership of one or more specific service teams Ensure that specified systems, processes, and methodologies are followed and ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of service delivery Understands the principles of incident, problem, and change management Ensures the delivery of first-class IT services across all locations for infrastructure services Support the establishment of processes around service management Provide 1st and 2nd level support, as well as lead local client/infrastructure and LAN change activities Support for local production/manufacturing connectivity Installation, configuration, and support of printers Point of contact for hosting services Customer and Asset ServicesGeneral support for desktop and laptop computers Configure new and existing equipment in accordance with corporate standards for deployment Install and troubleshoot desktop applications Maintain license management and version control Participate in the hardware upgrade project Maintain client security settings (e.g., administrator rights, software installations, etc.) Service DeskService desk support via phone, email, chat, etc. Provide and maintain telephone system and mobile device support Ensure that remote and on-site support issues are resolved to the satisfaction of customers LAN ServicesProvide basic network, security, and printing support Operation Technologies (OT Shop Floor) FocusIncident and service request support Maintain a high level of service for automation systems (PLC, SCADA, etc.) Coordinate maintenance and support for embedded systems, data acquisition systems, control systems, instrumentation, and test equipment computers/servers Configure and migrate new and existing IT devices in accordance with corporate standards for deployment Backup and maintenance of data on shop floor storage servers (line edge) Maintenance of industrial networks Device communication support (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, GPIB, Serial, etc.) Plant maintenance and database management (MySQL, SQL Express, Oracle, etc.) Point of contact for plant products and software support Point of contact with the Shop Floor Business representative Teamwork and interface with the IT Desk Side support team (standardization of the global IT infrastructure) Documentation support and improvement (layout, dependencies, diagrams, etc.) Participation in hardware integration/updates Standardization and consulting for HW & SW Apps + Industrial Networks Monitoring of IIoT and key Shop Floor (OT) components Actively seeks collaboration with internal and external team members related to a project Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s information in accordance with the level and type of information classification (storage, distribution, disposal) Protect any keys, ID badges, or computer or network access accounts that allow access to the organization’s information Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or another related technical field. Master's degree preferred Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience as an analyst in the automotive manufacturing industry Required technical skills:ITIL Fundamentals Cisco Basics 3+ years working with Microsoft .Net technologies to develop and maintain web and Windows applications 3+ years working with databases hosted on Microsoft SQL Server and a fundamental understanding of how Microsoft SQL Server works Experience in support and report development using reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services 2+ years of experience working with manufacturing execution systems (MES) responsible for executing and collecting information on the production floor Proven experience with applications, configuration options, process mapping, etc. Practical knowledge of methodologies to support new implementations, software development and quality assurance methodologies, systems development methodologies, and quality assurance best practices Soft skills:Strong analytical and business analysis skills Attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, working harmoniously and effectively as part of a global team Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Ability to respond with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines Ability to work with minimal supervision Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with advanced customer and supplier/partner interface skills Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing (conversational) Benefits We provide compensation and benefits programs intended to attract, motivate, reward, and retain an incredibly talented, globally diverse workforce at all levels within our organization.
