In this role, you’ll tackle complex technical challenges across a variety of hardware and software systems, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components such as switch systems, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. You’ll lead hands‑on engineering troubleshooting activities with both modern and legacy technologies, ensuring test solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. What You Will Do Lead troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance of hardware and software for automated test solutions deployed in Collins production facilities. Develop, update, and maintain software using programming languages such as C#/.NET, NI TestStand, NI LabVIEW, as well as legacy tools like TurboAtlas and Visual Basic 6. Design and update electrical hardware drawings for circuit card assemblies, cables, test adapters, and test stations. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for proprietary hardware and software, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Apply engineering troubleshooting techniques and tools to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions. Mentor emerging engineers by providing technical guidance and fostering skill development. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience. Experience designing and supporting design of electrical assemblies or troubleshooting electrical assemblies based on the design. Experience writing or modifying software source code. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and Spanish. Qualifications We Prefer Experience designing and supporting design of electrical assemblies.
