Job Summary We are looking for a Layout Design Engineer at Micron Technology’s HBM Team in Guadalajara, Mexico. The role focuses on designing and developing block‑level analog, mixed‑signal, custom digital logic and full‑chip layouts for high‑bandwidth memory (HBM) used in artificial intelligence and high‑performance computing applications. Responsibilities Design and development of analog, mixed‑signal, custom digital block and full‑chip level integration support. Perform layout verification such as LVS/DRC/Antenna checks and produce quality documentation. Deliver block‑level layouts on time and with acceptable quality. Plan, estimate area/time, schedule, delegate and execute tasks to meet project milestones in a multi‑project environment. Communicate effectively with global engineering teams to ensure project success. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in analog/custom layout design in advanced CMOS processes, across technology nodes such as Planar and FinFET. BE or MTech in Electronic/VLSI Engineering or a related field. Expertise in Cadence VLE/VXL and Mentor Graphics Calibre DRC/LVS. Hands‑on experience creating layouts of critical blocks such as temperature sensors, PLLs, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, band‑gap reference, charge pumps, current mirrors, comparators, and differential amplifiers. Knowledge of analog layout fundamentals (matching, electro‑migration, latch‑up, coupling, crosstalk, IR‑drop, passive and active parasitics, etc.). Understanding of layout effects on circuit performance, including speed, capacitance, power, and area. Ability to interpret design constraints and produce high‑quality layouts. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multiple tape‑out support. Background managing multiple layout projects, ensuring quality checks at all stages. Strong problem‑solving skills in physical verification of custom layouts.
