We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead development and optimization of electrical components and systems for automotive, heavy‑duty, and industrial applications. This role is based in our Tlalnepantla de Baz, Mexico office, collaborating closely with teams across the globe, including our China‑based team, requiring availability for night‑time communication to ensure seamless cross‑time‑zone collaboration. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to complex, high‑performance automotive electronics and to lead the design of new products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead Product Development: Analyze Original Equipment (OE) products and develop detailed specifications to meet market and OEM requirements; guide and mentor junior engineers. Advanced Circuit Design & Prototyping: Design and oversee electronic circuit prototypes ensuring OE specifications, performance standards, and cost requirements are met; lead complex design efforts and improvements in product efficiency and reliability. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Mechanical, Process, and Production teams to ensure the final design meets OEM specifications and production fit, form, and function. Product Evaluation and Validation: Lead evaluation, testing, and validation of products, ensuring all electrical and performance standards are met and products are robust for real‑world applications. Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to junior and mid‑level engineers, develop their skills, and guide design and testing processes. End‑of‑Life Management: Review and replace components nearing end‑of‑life, ensuring product compliance and cost‑effectiveness. Test Equipment & Validation Leadership: Design, develop, and validate test equipment and test plans; oversee laboratory test equipment specifications and integration for accurate and reliable testing. Global Team Collaboration: Work effectively with cross‑functional teams in China, Latin America, Europe, and the US, providing leadership and ensuring smooth global collaboration for product development, testing, and manufacturing. Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing technical support to production lines, troubleshoot and resolve product issues, and improve manufacturing processes. Travel: Occasional travel to support global teams and production facilities in China, the US, Latin America, and Europe as needed. Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 8+ years in electrical engineering, focusing on automotive electronics, industrial electronics, or related fields; proven expertise in circuit design, validation, and leading cross‑functional projects. Competencies Familiarity with electrical components, especially in automotive or heavy‑duty applications. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams. Demonstrated strong self‑learning ability, continually improving technical knowledge to stay at the forefront of automotive electronics developments. Skills Expert knowledge in electrical circuit design and prototyping. Extensive experience in product testing and validation of complex, high‑performance systems. Advanced understanding of electrical components in automotive and heavy‑duty applications. Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems, product testing, and automation.
