Job Description The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) has responsibility integrating manufacturing expertise into the New Product Development process. The role ensures new products are designed for manufacturability, scalability, cost‑effectiveness, and quality. Acting as a technical liaison between product design, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams, the AME supports the transition from early concept to production launch. Responsibilities Serve as the manufacturing voice in cross‑functional NPD teams from concept through launch Drive DFM, DFA and cost optimization into early product design Develop manufacturing process plans: process flow, equipment selection and layout Lead design, sourcing and qualification of tooling, fixtures and automation for new product introduction Support prototype and pilot builds, analyze results, and provide feedback to design and engineering teams Assess and mitigate manufacturing risks through PFMEA, control plans and robust process controls Collaborate with global supply chain and operations to ensure readiness and scalability Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the NPD cycle Document standard work instructions, process specifications and training materials for production handoff Track and report key metrics for manufacturability, cost, quality and launch readiness Initiate manufacturing technology innovations and oversee implementation of new processes Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or equivalent experience Minimum 5–7 years in a global operations organization, overseeing manufacturing and supply chain activities in multiple regions Requirements Experience with cross‑regional manufacturing operations transfers Knowledge of project management within a new product development framework Knowledge of DFM/DFX, FMEA and product cost management Knowledge of electro/mechanical manufacturing processes Travel Required Approximately 10% of travel.
