Petco is looking for an IT Engineer that will have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with Petco’s IT Field Services team and will be part of a group that is dedicated to providing excellent IT service and assistance toward Petco stores nationwide. Working in a team environment, this position will have the opportunity to be involved in all IT related scope and implementations specifically aligned to New Store builds, Store Remodels, and Vet Hospital Setup projects. IT Engineer Duties and Responsibilities Monitor current projects and coordinates all team members involved to keep workflow on track Provide IT support for all Store POS and Vet Hospital IT Equipment installations and implementations Work with onsite tech vendors and/or technicians Maintain various vendor reports and prepare for distribution Arrange and manage tech install documentation and keeps them up to date Communicate timeline changes and new information to team; tracks project changes and adjust schedules as needed Track and analyze project risks and recommend improvements Record minutes and take detailed notes during meetings Strategize with IT Manager when needed Track and analyze project risks and recommend improvements Triage, troubleshoot and investigate reported issues to determine and apply solutions IT Engineer Requirements and Qualifications Basic IT knowledge required Knowledge of various Operating Systems Analytical and problem solving skills Ability to use different Remote Tools and/or Software Must have basic networking/telephony knowledge and skills Must have PC/Hardware experience Fluent in English (written and verbal) communication skills Must have computer skills, well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint Knowledge of any project management tools, such as JIRA/Confluence and SmartSheets preferred Strong motivation and self-driven project management skills Able to work effectively under pressure Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects Able to produce high quality work with strict deadlines Willingness to work flexible schedules and working hours, based on project/business requirements
