Engineering Services Consultant – Food Manufacturing Location: South America – Full relocation required (Relocation Support Provided) Contract Type: 1-year fixed-term, with potential to extend to 2 years About the Role We are looking for an experienced Engineering Services Consultant to join a leading food manufacturing operation in South America. This is a high-impact, strategic role, responsible for reviewing, optimizing, and monitoring engineering operations to enhance efficiency, reliability, and overall operational excellence. In this role, you will: Conduct high-level assessments of the engineering function and evaluate current practices. Identify opportunities for process and infrastructure improvements. Implement recommended changes and monitor outcomes, adjusting as needed to ensure success. Drive the development of engineering standards, safety protocols, and operational reliability across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Lead comprehensive engineering assessments and translate findings into actionable improvements. Drive the implementation of process and infrastructure enhancements. Monitor and evaluate post-implementation progress, refining recommendations where necessary. Provide strategic guidance, mentoring, and leadership to the engineering team. Collaborate with operations, quality, and production teams to uphold high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Must-Have Experience & Qualifications 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably in food, FMCG, or ISO-regulated environments. 5+ years managing engineering or maintenance teams, with at least 20 direct or indirect reports. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Advanced management qualifications, such as an MBA, are a plus. Proven experience implementing plant or maintenance management systems. Strong leadership, change management, and team development skills. Experience in food, beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing is highly desirable.
