We are looking for a Software Embedded Engineer to join the Lighting team, reporting directly to the Software Manager. The role is based at our Mexico City office and focuses on developing cutting‑edge embedded software for Marelli’s advanced automotive lighting and sensor integration solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive applications. Manage software requirements, ensuring traceability and customer‑aligned compliance. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, develop software architectures, and deliver high‑quality solutions. Follow internal guidelines, support analysis, debugging, and resolution of software issues. Ensure compliance with ASPICE and ISO standards. Document software architecture and detailed design. Participate in testing and debugging of software components. Develop scripts and tools to improve the development process. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline. Fluent English (spoken and written). 3–6 years of embedded software development experience. 3–5 years of experience in C/C++ and Advanced Embedded C programming. Basic electronics knowledge on: UC, Bucks, Boosters, High‑Side Drivers, LEDs, SBC, LED Matrix Manager, Stepper motor. Communication protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, UART, I2C. RTOS fundamentals. Proficiency in reading schematics and datasheets. Foundational knowledge of DaVinci Developer and DaVinci Configurator. Proficiency with CANalyzer and CANoe. Experience troubleshooting and debugging embedded systems. Other desirable skills include automotive industry experience, AUTOSAR architecture, Enterprise Architect, Agile team experience, and knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment.
