Responsibilities Delivering on time a quality product that meets customer requirements and specifications with the efficient use of resources and budget, following the PMO guidelines and local standards. Plan the activities of each engineering resource assigned to a given project according to the project schedule agreed during the internal kick‑off meeting, making sure with the Project Planner that the Clarity tasks are available to be used by each resource. Confirm the project scope and its deliverables regarding the Control System and request any additional information or clarification needed to fulfill the contractual scope of the project. Obtain written approval from the customer of the Functional Design Specification and its associated documentation needed to release material procurement and trigger activities such as configuration and cabinet assembly. Deliver monthly to the Engineering Coordinator a resource forecast that will be needed to complete scheduled activities in the projects where he is involved. Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams. Give directions to the project team in systems bugs, system installation, and field start‑ups. Demonstrate team‑lead experience: handling the work products of others, creating estimates/WBS, and ensuring quality. Coordinate with other project managers and upper management to ensure a uniform approach to the accomplishment of the assigned projects. Assist in reviewing scopes of work for completeness and estimating time to complete proposed scopes of work. Communicate good working/engineering practices with other members of the Company. Provide regular updates on progress and issues to the line manager on assigned engineering and support activities. Report security incidents, potential incidents, or other information security risks to RAS. Enforce local and international Emerson Trade Compliance procedures about all transactions and business practices. Enforce Emerson Ethics, Anti‑Harassment, and FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) Principles and Procedures. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Communications, Control, Software engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Systems, Mechatronics, Mechanics, Robotics, Chemicals or similar. Solid understanding of DCS/SCADA, HMIs and/or PLC systems and field instrumentation, process protocols. Experience: 5+ years as a project engineer configuring OVATION or other DCS/SCADA systems, PLCs, Human‑Machine Interfaces, field instrumentation, or process control communication protocols. Comfortable adapting existing experiences to new environments. Ability to effectively connect with the clients and team members (oral, written & visual). A good balance of technical knowledge and business sense to help the team collect, evaluate, analyze, and deliver on business needs, is helpful. English language Intermediate/Advanced – ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several concrete variables. Preferred Qualifications Site service experience is preferable. Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are preferred. Attention to detail and outstanding communication skills are preferred. Intermediate to Expert in MS Excel and MS Word. Desirable experience in field activities as part of a process automation project. The Systems Technical Leader should be a self‑starter and a fast learner to learn from Senior Engineers and other team colleagues.
