The Role As Quality Manager, you will own the Total Quality Management (TQM) system, overseeing Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) across the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing regulatory affairs, ensuring successful implementation, renewal and maintenance of critical certifications (USDA Organic, FSSC22000, Kosher, etc.) and leading the Analytical Development function. Responsibilities Maintain and improve quality standards : Ensure compliance with industry regulations and certifications and continuously refine best practices. Manage quality systems : Lead implementation, update and upgrade of quality systems. Plan and execute QA/QC activities : Oversee assurance and control processes from development through production. Oversee laboratory and analytical development : Manage laboratory operations, develop analytical methods and standard testing. Implement continuous improvement : Develop and execute improvement methods for QC and QA. Define specifications : Establish raw material, product and process specifications. Validate processes : Validate raw materials, products and processes to meet specifications. Regulatory compliance : Manage regulatory affairs, obtain and renew operational permits and product classifications for Mexico and international markets. Product communications compliance : Ensure all communications meet regulatory standards. Environmental and occupational safety : Lead department ensuring best practices and safe work environment. Complaints system : Manage complaints system and root cause analysis. Team leadership : Lead, develop and mentor the quality team. Support product development : Work with product development to resolve deviations. Audit and certification management : Lead audits and certification renewals. Requirements Educational background : Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, QFB or related; Master’s in Quality Systems preferred. Experience : Minimum 7 years in manufacturing within supplements, food, cosmetics or pharmaceutical industries; at least 3 years in a leadership role as Quality Manager. Quality systems expertise : Proven experience managing QMS and renewing FSSC22000; implementation from scratch ideal. Certifications : FSSC22000 auditor certification required; USDA Organic, Kosher, Halal, COFEPRIS GMP and FDA FSMA auditor certification highly desirable. Laboratory and analytical methods : Knowledge of laboratory management and analytical method development. Regulatory knowledge : In‑depth knowledge of Mexican (COFEPRIS) and international regulations. Regulatory experience : Work with regulatory and legal entities such as COFEPRIS, FDA, INVIMA. Skills : Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, comfortable in fast‑paced environments. Language proficiency : Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish. Leadership and cultural fit : Ability to build, mentor, and lead high‑performing teams; intrapreneurial mindset. Desired Qualifications Master’s Degree in Quality Management. ERP knowledge.
