Planner Scheduler (Tijuana, BC) Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Planner Scheduler will be in charge of helping materials and production functions. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, coordinating and approving product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability. What a typical day looks like Checking the possibility of order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment, etc.) and confirming the order. Preparation of production plans, entry of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company, and notification of the purchasing group. Monitoring and controlling implementation of plans, and initiating necessary actions in case of deviations. Preparation of long‑term plans and forecasts (MPS, Forecast). Monitoring system accuracy on a daily/weekly basis for general item data, routing, BOM, CFT data, non‑consumed demand, planned work orders. Preparing Clean to Build reports, checking material availability, replanning if necessary, informing the order desk, and tracing ECO implementation. Monitoring stock levels and handling stock differences. Preparing management and CFT specific reports, monitoring KPI's. Assisting and replacing, in certain cases, SCM and order desk within the CFT. Advising non‑exempt associates regarding day‑to‑day priority of customer requests. Monitoring and proactively addressing issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead‑time, response time, and inventory goals. Coordinating and managing high‑visibility and/or important customer programs. May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs. Coordinating with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues. Driving process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management. Providing input to management, rescheduling, and/or interfacing with customer program management, master scheduling, customers, and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions. Representing Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams. May also help inventory control, supply chain management, material planning, and scheduling. The experience we’re looking to add to our team BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration. Experience in a similar position in the medical industry. Strong experience in production control. Intermediate English. Experience with Work Orders. Experience in production planning. Experience with cycle counts. Ability to work under pressure.
