Job Overview Senior Manager, Strategic Capacity Management in the Wound Closure & Healing (WCH) organization. Reports to the LRPP/SCM Business Process Leader within the IBM team, part of the global MedTech Supply Chain organization. This position leads and orchestrates the WCH SCM process across global stakeholders, evaluating long‑term supply chain scenarios over 2–10 years to support Value Stream Management decisions, portfolio planning, and network strategy. Key Responsibilities Integrate with business stakeholders to gather modeling inputs and serve internal customers with insights derived from SCM models. Lead process improvement initiatives using technology to reduce cycle lags and accelerate data and analysis delivery. Apply problem‑solving approaches to bridge gaps in data availability and create feasible models/scenarios. Drive strategic planning governance, including the annual process cadence, communications, and influence across Engineering, MAKE, Commercial, and Global Marketing. Identify business opportunities beyond capacity issues, such as new product launches, technology requirements, business continuity planning, regulatory validation, inventory/cycle time management, and more. Discuss capacity implications related to revenue forecasts, gross profit, market share, inventory, phase‑in/phase‑out strategies, and other key metrics. Own SCM models in the OMP platform and the scenario generation/reporting platform; champion adoption of data‑science tools such as Python, R, and Alteryx. Develop and maintain PowerBI reporting dashboards. Train and guide stakeholders to validate or challenge models and assumptions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a STEM‑related field—engineering, logistics, supply chain, computing, finance, or economics (preferred). Minimum eight years of relevant work experience in logistics, planning, or manufacturing within the medical device or closely related industry. Experience leading teams in a logistics, planning, or manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in building process models and using simulation/optimization tools. Knowledge of Theory of Constraints or System Dynamics (preferred). Working knowledge of OMP, Anaplan, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Jonova, Python, R, Alteryx, and PowerBI. Strong analytical reasoning, consulting, cost management, demand forecasting, financial competence, and operational excellence skills. Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically or internationally.
