Come make an impact every day at Zebra. What We're Looking For Designs, develops, analyzes, and implements manufacturing processes to assemble printer products and aftermarket kits. Leads/supports various operational groups in determining root cause and resolution of performance related issues. Supports various operational groups in cost reduction of existing products and parts. Develops and implements process improvements to existing products to support cost reduction goals. Chihuahua – based role Onsite presence required to support manufacturing activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Establish requirements for highly complex manufacturing projects and may lead a team responsible for establishing requirements. Insure correct features are incorporated first in the projects. Architect and design highly complex manufacturing projects. Complete all phases of the projects. Follow through on all in-process and final inspection activities. Develop and apply technical and quality improvements. Create new programs, technologies and solutions based on novel or unique ideas. Insure new ideas and methodologies are documented for use by teams. Use status as a knowledge leader in manufacturing and functional knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines and program management to provide technical leadership to a given program. Define requirements for and may design complex new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of complex problems. Initiate cross-company collaboration and develop positive relationships with other engineering disciplines. Exercise judgment (within broadly defined policies and practices) in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. May coordinate the activities of other personnel. Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Interact with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. Represent the organization as the principal customer contact and often perform project leadership.
