Job Summary Amazon is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead an inbound or outbound operation, or a functional process, within an Amazon Fulfillment Center. The role focuses on creating and executing a worldwide supply chain, managing volume flows and fullness, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven decision making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, or transportation logistics. 3+ years of employee and performance management experience. 2+ years of strong operations management experience with proficiency in data analysis. 5+ years of operations management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution environments. Supervisory responsibility for a minimum of 100 hourly employees. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. English proficiency. Physical Requirements Lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds. Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Frequent walking throughout the facility, which spans over a quarter mile. Standing and walking for up to several hours a day. Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely. Key Job Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of 3–7 Area Managers and hourly associates by embodying Amazon’s Leadership Principles. Ensure compliance with all safety programs and maintain a safe work environment for associates and managers. Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining consistency and taking corrective action when needed. Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition. Create, communicate, and maintain quality control policies and standard work procedures for Area Managers and associates. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers. Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance labor. Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound productivity requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations. Partner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network. Use performance metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques to drive results. #J-18808-Ljbffr
