Requirements – Payroll Specialist I Associate’s degree in Business Administration (or High School Diploma + 2 years relevant experience). 2+ years in customer-focused roles requiring detail orientation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee data. Responsibilities – Payroll Specialist I Assist in resolving time & attendance discrepancies. Ensure manager approval of hourly timecards. Enter wage garnishments, 401(k) deferrals, and employee loans into the system. Complete verification of employment & unemployment forms. Distribute pay statements and respond to employee queries. Support payroll-related reporting, audits, and documentation. Cross-train with Payroll Specialist II for backup support. Requirements – Payroll Specialist II Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Admin, or related field (or HS Diploma + 2 years relevant experience). 2+ years in payroll, finance, accounting, or bookkeeping. 4+ years in customer-focused roles requiring attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational & time management skills. Responsibilities – Payroll Specialist II Process accurate and timely U.S. payrolls using ADP & Workday . Update payroll records (tax withholdings, HSA contributions, direct deposits). Review & import employee timecards, leaves, and time-off files. Maintain payroll tax account registrations. Prepare month- and quarter-end accruals for accounting. Assist with payroll audits, compliance, and employee verifications. Support payroll reporting, benefit enrollments (HSA/FSA), and multi-state payroll laws. Provide backup support for the Lead Payroll Specialist.
