Join our dynamic team as a Contract Operations Specialist, a key role within the External Expert Engagement Services (E3S) team of the Global Business Services (GBS) unit. This position is pivotal in leading and ensuring accurate and compliant processing of contracting requests in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations and transparency/reporting requirements. The role also provides payment support related to the management of associated payments when required. A successful candidate will have a project management mentality with a focus on responsiveness, partnering to conduct operational tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of requirements, and will provide guidance to partners, management and peers. Accountabilities Review and ensure the completeness of incoming External Expert/Patient engagement applications and requests. Manage the triaging of these requests to the appropriate reviewer and business area, offering guidance to guarantee the acquisition and retention of required approvals. Perform preliminary reviews to safeguard against contracting with any individual or entity that is debarred, excluded, or restricted from doing business with the organization. Ensure the timely receipt of driven LOA’s and contracts in accordance with service level agreements before the program start date. Manage provider requests for changes to LOAs/contracts. Collect data elements to ensure adherence to physician payment reporting requirements for Open Payments, EFPIA and other state and country regulations. This includes ensuring accurate and timely requests for required payment information by facilitating the timely receipt of necessary documents and collaborating with the payment team. Contribute to design, launch and other operations improvement projects as a subject matter expert. Essential Skills / Experience Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year experience in a similar functioning role. Strong technical/systems experience and skills (Salesforce, Excel, Word). Ability to quickly learn and work within AstraZeneca administrative tools and multiple processes. Comfort working independently, prioritising and adjusting workload as business needs require. Demonstrated ability to project manage and organise each activity by working with and managing customers. Leads budget owners through the contracting process following standard operating procedures and working instructions. Understanding of purchase to pay systems/processes, procurement. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English is the corporate language). Working with cross‑functional teams and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others building a relationship of open communication and trust. High ethical standards, honest, operating with absolute discretion. Desirable Skills / Experience Demonstrated experience in a similar role or demonstrated ability to manage simple to complex projects/contracts. Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Compliance, Legal, Procurement) or a consulting firm working with pharmaceutical clients. Familiarity with the technical and functional elements of requirements including but not limited to compliance, legislation (Physician Payment Sunshine Act, EFPIA), data sources/quality and reporting.
