Summary The Global Quality Engineer supports and drives the implementation and alignment of the Quality Management System across Micrometals operations in Anaheim, Mexicali, and China by participating in ISO 9001 certification readiness activities, supporting supplier quality alignment, and strengthening customer quality interface during the Anaheim-to-Mexicali transition. The role also contributes to the continuous improvement of quality system effectiveness and operational performance across sites. This role participates in the development of quality system documentation supporting transferred manufacturing processes, supports internal audit coordination, and contributes to certification readiness activities during equipment transfer and production ramp-up phases. The position works closely with site leadership, manufacturing engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to support consistent quality system implementation and the development of sustainable local quality capability at the Mexicali facility. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering or related technical discipline required. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting quality systems or manufacturing quality engineering activities in industrial environments. Experience supporting ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and certification audit preparation required. Experience supporting supplier quality coordination activities preferred. Experience supporting non-conformance management and corrective action processes preferred. Experience supporting customer audit preparation or corrective action response activities preferred. Experience working in cross-functional manufacturing environments preferred. Specialized Knowledge Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System implementation in manufacturing environments preferred. Experience supporting internal audit programs is desirable. Familiarity with supplier qualification processes supporting industrial manufacturing operations preferred. Experience supporting customer audit readiness during production startup environments is desirable. Understanding of inspection strategy alignment during equipment transfer and process relocation preferred. Familiarity with calibration program coordination supporting manufacturing inspection equipment is desirable. Ability to interpret technical drawings, inspection requirements, and manufacturing documentation preferred. Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D), Understanding of non-conformance management and corrective action systems. Required Qualifications Ability to interpret technical documentation and quality system procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
