As a NPI Product Engineer at Molex, you will be responsible for setting up systems to industrialize products efficiently. Acting as the primary technical point of contact between the manufacturing site and design center, you will ensure the Fit, Form, and Function of both existing and new products. You will own and manage all relevant product documentation—such as specifications, BOMs, drawings, labeling, and packaging—ensuring compliance with quality management standards. By collaborating closely with design, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and planning teams, you will help resolve performance issues and support successful product launches and ongoing sustaining efforts. What You Will Do Serve as the key technical liaison between manufacturing and design centers, fostering clear communication and technical information exchange for new product setups and transfers. Manage and maintain product data and documentation including BOMs, drawings, specifications, labeling, and traceability, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards. Review and approve engineering changes by evaluating their impact on manufacturing processes and product performance prior to mass production release. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify root causes of product failures, implement corrective actions, and drive improvements to quality and First Pass Yield (FPY). Standardize product documentation and records across part families to support ongoing manufacturing excellence. Support the execution of plant and area key initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and product quality. Fulfill responsibilities outlined in control plans and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronics, Physics, Photonics, Mechatronics, or related fields. Strong proven experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in Product Life‑Cycle Management systems and MRP tools, especially SAP. Experienced in BOM management, engineering change control, and impact analysis. Skilled in interpreting GD&T and technical drawings. Advanced professional proficiency in English. Methodical and detail‑oriented with strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a team with high integrity. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant quality tools. What Will Put You Ahead Experience or support in product or New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering roles. Knowledge of optical fiber assemblies and related technologies. Familiarity with labeling software such as LabelView, Bartender, or Loftware. Understanding and practical application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
