Responsibilities Overall safety, quality, service, cost productivity, and employee morale of assigned department. Liaison to management on manufacturing, quality, process, and engineering related issues. Direct and coordinate activities of production workers such as inspectors, assemblers, fabricators, machine/setters, test and other plant & system operators. Anticipate and adapt to change, making required adjustments to schedules. Enforce safety and environmental regulations. Direct and coordinate activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals and maintain capacity plans. Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure operators conform to production or processing standards. Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign training to experienced workers. Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers. Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Develop solutions, programs, and procedures in partnership with management. Communicate daily customer order status and corrective actions to maintain schedule and quality. Prepare action plans to recover production or past dues. Qualifications At least five years of experience in manufacturing or engineering. Experience in Industrial, Automotive, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Fabrication, or Electrical Power Generation is a plus. Bilingual – 80% English – Spanish preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel). Knowledge of MRP/ERP system. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. #J-18808-Ljbffr
