Role Overview The Software Update Automation developer designs and implements core automation framework to measure quality of software before launch. The primary goal is to ensure the software updates are delivered to customers at high quality and on time. Responsibilities Craft and refine automation frameworks and tools that revolutionize how we test new features and functionality. Ensure new product line releases, services, and Over-the-Air updates are flawlessly executed. Team up with development wizards, technical program managers, and project managers. Deliver quality at every turn. Lead charge towards a quality-centric development process. Champion automation, push closer to 100% test coverage. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience. 3+ years proficiency in object-oriented programming language like Python, C#, C++, or Java. Prior work experience authoring reliable and robust test automation. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience utilizing Test/QA methodologies. Extensive experience with objected oriented design and coding skills. Demonstrated ability to break down difficult problems into manageable tasks. Design and coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services and physical devices with measurable impact on quality. Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions. Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; think abstractly. Experience in agile or scrum software development methodologies.
