About the role As an Automation Engineer , you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of automated systems. You will be involved in the implementation of new equipment and processes, working closely with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers to deliver high‑quality, efficient, and innovative manufacturing solutions. Your contributions will directly impact production continuity, operational excellence, and the successful deployment of new technologies within the plant. Key Responsibilities Analyze and execute the commissioning of electronic equipment, PLCs (Siemens/Allen‑Bradley), industrial communication networks, vision systems, and measurement devices. Coordinate concurrent engineering processes and technology sourcing with suppliers for machinery, equipment, tooling, gauges, and other resources for new product launches. Analyze and coordinate troubleshooting support for automated control systems and power systems dedicated to high‑frequency welding. Effectively manage automation resources using digital systems to ensure a stable and controlled manufacturing process. Identify business needs in manufacturing process automation and coordinate their implementation across different areas, aligning operational and support resources and connecting key personnel according to project requirements. Coordinate the economic evaluation of projects for the development of new technologies and automation processes. Coordinate RFQ development, engineering reviews, and FAT and SAT validations with different suppliers. Ensure the development and validation of the Integrated Manufacturing Plan and participate in feasibility studies for new products. Provide support for continuous improvement activities (Carrier CX), Quality, and EH&S. Requirements We are looking for people who are proactive, hands‑on, analytical problem‑solvers with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. If this is you, get in touch. Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Controls Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in industrial automation within manufacturing environments. Hands‑on experience programming PLCs and HMIs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens). Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting automated production equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. Experience in configuration and installation of vision systems (Cognex/Keyence). Knowledge about power electronics (HF welder, VFD). Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: Experience with industrial or collaborative robots (FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB or similar).
