Job Title: Payroll AnalystLocation: Mexico (preferred) or Brazil (remote/hybrid depending on candidate location)Compensation: $1,626 USD per month (Independent Contractor)Employment Type: Contractor (6-month initial duration, may be extended)Expected Workweek: 40 hours Job Description We are seeking a high-level Payroll Analyst (Coordinator level in Brazil) to perform a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities. This role includes processing regular and non-regular payroll, administering time and attendance policies and systems, computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, processing special payment requests and paycheck advances, and managing terminations. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience in Mexican payroll (minimum 500 employees in high‑volume environment) and is comfortable working independently with Excel and payroll systems. Key Responsibilities Process regular and non-regular payroll for high-volume employee base (500+ employees). Administer time and attendance policies and systems. Compute wage and overtime payments in compliance with Mexican regulations. Calculate and record payroll deductions accurately. Process special payment requests, paycheck advances, and terminations. Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies. Support payroll reporting and compliance activities. Required Qualifications Experience: 7+ years of experience in Mexican payroll (mid to senior level; strong hands‑on experience required). Volume: Proven experience processing payroll for a minimum of 500 employees in a high‑volume environment. Language: Spanish and English required. Portuguese is nice to have but not necessary. Excel: Strong proficiency in Excel. Payroll Systems: Experience with any payroll system is acceptable. Industry: Healthcare or manufacturing sector experience is a plus. Employment History: Client is not fond of employment gaps or short‑term projects. Location: Mexico preferred. Brazilian exposure is a plus but not required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with the client’s payroll system (Neam or similar) is a plus but not a concern. Experience with Brazilian payroll is a plus. Work Environment Preferably onsite, but depends on candidate location.
