Type: Part-time, project-based (ongoing work expected) Start date: Immediate About the role We develop educational games and are looking for a graphic designer to produce artwork for our titles on an ongoing, project-by-project basis. Our visual style has already been established by our lead designer, so the priority isn't original art direction — it's a designer who can faithfully follow a defined style, deliver clean cartoon characters, and recolor existing assets to spec. Game industry experience is not required. What matters is strong cartoon character work, confident coloring, and the discipline to hit a brief exactly. We have 5–10 projects of this scope lined up to begin with, and expect this to grow into a long-term working relationship for continued product development. What you'll do (per project) Design 1 main cartoon character with 9 motion variants (following our established style) Design 4–5 secondary characters (e.g. zooplankton — simpler, non-distinctive supporting assets) Recolor an existing background we provide as a working design file (Adobe Illustrator or InDesign), e.g. shifting a blue sky to gold Recolor 3–4 individual objects within that background, e.g. shifting orange coral to salmon Characters are delivered as standalone assets — no backgrounds bundled with the character itself. What we're looking for A strong portfolio of cute, expressive cartoon characters with appealing faces and clear personality Excellent sense of color and consistency Comfort working in Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign with files supplied by our team Ability to follow detailed specs precisely and match an established art style rather than impose your own Reliable turnaround on project-based work How to apply Before we move forward, we'd like to see a short sample so we can confirm style fit. Reference style to match: the art style used in this fishing game. Sample task: create a cute clam character in that style. We've also attached a reference image of a clam in a different style — share it only to illustrate the kind of cute features and funny expression we like; the final piece should match the fishing-game style, not the reference image's style. Please submit the clam character with no background (the character is treated as a single asset in the game). To apply, send your portfolio, resume, and the clam sample to .
