We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Tool Room Manager to oversee all tooling operations within our manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring that tools, molds, dies, and equipment are maintained, stored, and available to support efficient and high‑quality production. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in technical environments, excels at team management, and is committed to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Tool Room Operations Lead daily operations of the tool room, ensuring tools and equipment are available, maintained, and in optimal condition. Manage tooling workflows, stock control systems, storage, and organization. Ensure a safe, compliant work environment aligned with all health, safety, and environmental standards. Tool Maintenance & Fabrication Oversee preventive maintenance, calibration, repairs, and fabrication of tools, molds, dies, and fixtures. Ensure high-quality workmanship and minimal production downtime caused by tooling issues. Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams to address technical requirements and resolve tooling challenges. Inventory & Documentation Maintain accurate inventory of tools, inserts, and spare parts. Implement and manage systems for tracking tool usage, maintenance history, and service records. Supervise, train, and develop tool room personnel. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence. Partner with cross‑functional teams to meet production needs and streamline processes. Budgeting & Procurement Manage budgets related to tool repairs, new tooling, and equipment investments. Coordinate procurement of tools, equipment, and services with suppliers. Quality & Compliance Ensure tools meet quality and industry standards through rigorous inspection and testing. Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred). 3–5 years of experience in tool room management or a similar manufacturing role. Strong technical knowledge in tooling, machining, and maintenance processes. Experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with inventory management systems; CAD/CNC experience is a plus. Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
