Job Overview As a Junior Formulator, you will plan, organize, and execute experimental work, analyze results, and draw clear, data‑driven conclusions. You will actively contribute to the development, optimization, and adaptation of new and existing products. You will also provide technical support throughout product lifecycle activities, including troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Adhere to all PPG safety protocols and encourage a broad safety culture in a laboratory work environment. Organize, accurately carry out, and draw conclusions from lab experiments following discussion with supervisors. Ensure all experimental work is recorded in appropriate lab notebooks, databases and project reports. Support product and process troubleshooting and apply root cause analysis and BPI tools to lead resolution of manufacturing and field issues. Travel to customer may be occasionally necessary. Contribute ideas for lab work involving new product development, existing product improvement, formula cost reduction, processes and procedural improvement. Active participation in 6S (organization and safety) activities. Other assignments from supervisor are included in the responsibility for this position. Qualifications Bachelor's Science Degree in Chemistry or related Engineering with 3+ years of experience. Knowledge of paint formulation and laboratory property testing, or familiarity with automotive paint property tests, will be an added advantage. Knowledge in Waterborne Coatings is an added advantage. Intermediate English. Work on site.
