Job Description This position is a plant-wide role, responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and fostering a health, safety and environmental focused culture across all departments of the factory. This leader will oversee a team of HSE professionals to ensure all programs are effectively implemented. Responsibilities Provide direction and achieve EHS objectives in the Plant. Accountable for managing initiatives to maintain an accident/incident-free plant. Lead environmental processes to ensure company and regulatory requirements are met in relation to hazardous/special waste management, materials recycling, water discharge and air permitting obligations. Supervise EHS federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and risk mitigation initiatives; analyze potential impacts on operations; provide management information as appropriate. Be a positive coach, observer, trainer, and main point of contact for EHS vision and assistance. Audit all kinds of operation processes inside the factory creating relevant open issues lists to make sure all findings are corrected, and preventive actions are implemented. Lead incident reporting process and actively contribute on incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective actions. Be the site EHS authority and point of contact for safety and environmental related inquiries. Lead the activities of all EHS department team members and third-party contracts for EHS relevant aspects of performance. Manage the safety observation reporting program. Coordinate ergonomic improvement activities. Promote people’s health in the facility through the best possible practices for self-care, management of the medical service and of programs to prevent disease and create appropriate work conditions in close relationship with HR for services like food, transportation, cleaning, etc. Oversee Plant Security external company service. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental. 5+ years' proven track record leading safety and/or environmental systems. Fully bilingual. Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role strongly preferred. Knowledge of ISO ************* certifications desirable. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting. Exposure in a multi-country, multi-cultural working environment preferable.
