Job Description As a Production Planner, you will define a production plan for a portfolio of products based on raw material availability, equipment availability, manufacturing capacity (headcount) of production cells, and supplier capacity. You will always aim to communicate any necessary adjustments in the supply chain accurately and efficiently in order to increase or decrease incoming materials and ensure effective execution of planned schedules. You will also be responsible for reviewing proper execution and compliance with previously defined plans, providing support to the teams you collaborate with. Production Planning works closely with Purchasing, the VSM of assigned areas, and the core team within each production cell. The professional in this role is expected to develop optimal strategies due to the significant impact on the supply chain. This is an individual contributor role; you will report directly to the Production Planning Manager. The position is on-site at the facilities in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. Responsibilities Support production scheduling and control activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely material availability. Identify and resolve issues related to material supply. Promote continuous improvement in material management processes. Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP and Kinaxis RapidResponse for material planning and tracking. Collaborate with the production cell team in weekly SIOP (execution planning), monthly SIOP, and SIOP-IDO activities with customer sites. Metrics & Acronyms Definition Production plan adherence (Finish Attainment) Start Dates Past Due (zero) Execution of MPS Messages (Pull, Reschedule, Cancellations) MPS Linearity (consistent production plan) Review and maintenance of CIR (Customer Independent Requirements) requests Planned Orders Attainment (rescheduling non-released planned orders) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Previous experience in material management or related roles. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) for material planning and tracking. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Detail‑oriented mindset and strong problem‑solving skills. WE VALUE Experience in the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in Kinaxis RapidResponse for material planning and tracking.
