Software Engineer (Apache HBase) at BairesDev As a Software Engineer specializing in Apache HBase, you will develop and operate high‑performance NoSQL database solutions to provide real‑time access to large‑scale datasets. You will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability and reliability of our data storage layer within the Hadoop ecosystem. What You’ll Do Design and implement scalable HBase schemas to support low‑latency read/write operations. Manage and optimize HBase clusters, including region servers, master nodes, and ZooKeeper coordination. Monitor and tune performance through effective management of compactions, splits, and memory settings. Troubleshoot complex issues related to data consistency, region server health, and cluster availability. Collaborate with data platform teams to integrate HBase with the broader Big Data ecosystem. What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Big Data. Proven expertise in developing and operating Apache HBase for real‑time data access. Proficiency in managing HBase regions, compaction processes, and schema design. Hands‑on experience with NoSQL databases and the Hadoop ecosystem.
