The PMO Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistent execution, quality, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) framework across global delivery teams located in the UK and LATAM. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the PMO Manager acts as the operational custodian of delivery standards, governance, and portfolio insight. The role combines responsibilities traditionally associated with a Portfolio Analyst and PMO Analyst, with additional accountability for execution maturity, quality assurance, and data-driven portfolio oversight. The role also includes delivery responsibility for small-to-medium technology projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong troubleshooting mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for learning. RESPONSIBILITIES Portfolio Demand Management Support the Head of Delivery in reviewing the Portfolio Demand Dashboard, surfacing insights and preparing recommendations for leadership decisions. Monitor work progressing through Pipeline, Proposal, Awaiting Approval, and Onboarding stages, following up with action owners to ensure timely progression. Maintain portfolio demand information including project registration, evaluation, prioritisation, and lifecycle status accuracy. Collaborate with leadership to support strategic valuation and prioritisation of opportunities. Assist in scheduling meetings related to developing project opportunities. Support Proposal Development Managers with resource planning during Proposal and Onboarding phases. Support onboarding of new projects including setup of project workspaces, reporting dashboards, RAID logs, and system administration activities. Support evaluation of project complexity and selection of appropriate delivery processes and templates during proposal stages. Provide analytical insight into portfolio health, delivery performance, demand trends, and resource utilisation. Prepare materials for portfolio governance forums including agendas, dashboards, and decision-support summaries. Maintain a consolidated view of project RAID logs; analyse trends and follow up with Project Managers to address risks and issues. Track budget vs. actuals for Time & Materials (T&M) engagements and highlight variances. Maintain portfolio-level data integrity across Project for the Web, SharePoint, and related systems. Partner with Data Analysts who develop Power BI dashboards by ensuring underlying delivery data quality and completeness. Resource Management Maintain visibility of resource capacity and utilisation across the global delivery team. Support forward planning by identifying resourcing risks, bottlenecks, and underutilisation trends. Collaborate with the Head of Delivery to support allocation decisions and scenario planning. Quality & Execution Management Act as custodian of delivery standards, templates, and governance processes. Conduct regular quality reviews to ensure consistent adherence to defined PPM processes. Identify gaps between process maturity and execution maturity and drive corrective actions. Monitor compliance with delivery KPIs and continuous improvement targets. Support ISO 9001 compliance through evidence gathering, audit readiness, and process adherence monitoring. Provide coaching and guidance to Project Managers to improve consistency and data quality. Escalate persistent non-compliance or risks to the Head of Delivery where necessary. Project Delivery Responsibilities Deliver small-to-medium internal or client technology projects. Own project governance, planning, reporting, and stakeholder coordination for assigned initiatives. Apply organisational delivery standards and act as a role model for best practice execution. Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, reporting clarity, and governance effectiveness. Support evolution of the PPM lifecycle and supporting tooling integrations. Promote a culture of data-driven decision making across delivery teams. EXPERIENCE Experience working within a PMO, Portfolio Management, or Delivery Operations environment. Demonstrated experience supporting multi-technology project or portfolio environments (20+ concurrent projects preferred). Experience working in distributed or global delivery teams. Exposure to quality management frameworks and structured governance environments. Direct experience supporting or managing technology projects. Experience compiling and presenting management reports in PowerBI (or similar reporting platform) QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Excellent organisational and coordination capabilities. Ability to influence without direct authority. Experience with Project for the Web, SharePoint, and integrated collaboration platforms. Strong understanding of project governance, RAID management, and portfolio reporting concepts. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management frameworks. Comfortable working with structured data and ensuring data quality standards. Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) desirable but not mandatory.
