They're looking for a Product Designer with hands‑on experience across both hard goods and soft goods to support their kitchenware category. This role covers the full design and development process, from concept through production‑ready specs. Role Snapshot Location: LATAM - Country (Remote) Schedule: Full-time | 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. ET Position Summary We are hiring a Product Designer – Kitchenware hard goods and soft goods. The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts with technical product development expertise and understands how to design commercially successful products for retail environments. This position requires someone highly organized, trend‑aware, and comfortable collaborating with sourcing, manufacturing, merchandising, and licensing teams. Responsibilities Design and develop kitchenware products across both hard goods (cookware, tools, accessories) and soft goods (textiles, linens, aprons, etc.) Create detailed technical sketches, flat drawings, and CAD files for product development Build and maintain tech packs with complete construction details, materials, colorways, and trims Collaborate with sourcing and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production‑feasible Interpret seasonal trend direction and translate it into market‑ready product concepts Review and provide feedback on samples, ensuring designs meet quality and spec standards Support product development timelines to ensure on‑time delivery at retail Work cross‑functionally with merchandising and licensing teams on branded product programs Requirements (Must‑Have) 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio spanning both hard goods and soft goods Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or related field preferred Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes for both material types Experience creating and managing tech packs end‑to‑end Ability to manage multiple SKUs and product lines simultaneously with strong attention to detail Strong understanding of retail product development timelines and production workflows Experience with licensed brand programs (Disney, character IP, or similar) is a plus Background in retail or wholesale home goods (mass market or specialty retail preferred) Familiarity with overseas factory communication and sample review processes Strong attention to detail Creative problem‑solving Excellent organizational skills Cross‑functional collaboration Communication and feedback management Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Trend awareness and creative thinking Time management and deadline ownership Adaptability in fast‑paced retail environments Proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset Technical Skills (Required) Adobe Illustrator CAD design tools relevant to the product category Technical sketching and flat drawing creation Tech pack creation and management Material and trim selection Manufacturing and production process knowledge Trend forecasting and market analysis Sample review and quality control Hard goods and soft goods product development Tools & Systems Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive) Time tracking: Hubstaff Adobe Illustrator Benefits Competitive pay in USD. 100% remote – work from home or anywhere.
