Application Development What You’ll Do Conduct knowledge-transfer and technical mentorship sessions focused on graph modeling and query optimization Explain traditional database architectures vs. graph database approaches using real-world implementation examples Review proof-of-concept code and database schemas with a focus on scalability and maintainability Guide production environment setup, including high availability and disaster recovery strategies Architect infrastructure for enterprise-scale performance across Kubernetes, cloud networking, and storage Implement security best practices such as RBAC, SSO integration, and secure data-at-rest configurations Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for graph database deployments, migrations, indexing, and updates Advise on integrating graph databases with enterprise systems, ETL workflows, streaming platforms, and CDC pipelines Establish monitoring and observability standards using industry-standard tooling Perform performance tuning and resource optimization based on usage patterns and query behavior Evaluate deployment strategies and provide recommendations for long-term scalability and operational efficiency Create practical guidance and documentation to help the team confidently support graph database solutions in production What You’ll Bring Strong expertise with graph databases such as Neo4j and Amazon Neptune Experience implementing graph database solutions in enterprise production environments Deep understanding of graph modeling, query optimization, and scalable database design Hands‑on experience integrating graph databases into CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows Strong containerization and orchestration experience with Kubernetes platforms such as EKS, GKE, or AKS Backend integration experience using C#, .NET, and SQL-based systems DevOps experience with database versioning, automated testing, and infrastructure automation Ability to translate complex graph database concepts into practical engineering solutions Collaborative approach to working alongside existing engineering teams Production‑focused mindset with an emphasis on maintainability, reliability, and real‑world outcomes Strong communication and technical mentorship skills Ability to recommend pragmatic solutions rather than overly theoretical designs Improving welcomes people from all backgrounds and walks of life, and this is reflected in our largely diverse community of Improvers.
