Job Description Summary The Steam Turbine Bucket/Blade Aeromechanic Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing both rotating and stationary Bucket/Blade technologies enabling world‑class Steam Turbine performance and efficiency. This is a critical role requiring both system level knowledge of turbomachinery safety (overspeed) and detailed mechanical component expertise to design the power‑producing component within the turbine. Responsibilities Own Steampath bucket/blade component design in execution of NPI, ITR, and factory/field support activities for new units and aftermarket services Drive technology advancements from a Shaftline System, subsystem, component and material/life perspective Collaborate with global & cross‑functional team of internal Steam Turbine Engineers and external stakeholders (Drafting/Global Supply Chain) to enable & foster mutual technical growth and deliver for our customers Follow rigorous NPI Tollgate Process from Conceptual Design through field validation for all bucket/blade component designs across the full spectrum of Gas Power turbine configurations Lead engineering analysis to ensure robust designs that meet all required CTQs Demonstrate excellence applying fundamentals of Mechanical Design, including material properties, statics, strength of materials, fluid dynamics, loading methods related to fatigue (LCF & HCF) and creep Demonstrate experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 4+ years engineering experience in design of turbomachinery rotating components with demonstrated knowledge of blade design (e.g., Campbell diagrams) Proficiency in English Legal right to work; we will not sponsor individuals for legal permits or visas Desired Skills Prioritize everyday standard work within the framework of SQDCC: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Culture Excellent communication skills and intercultural awareness Passion for Quality, LEAN, and implementing continuous improvement to deliver for our customers and reduce variation through adoption of standard work Experience in Steam Turbine rotating component design, including ST rotating and stationary bucket/blade designs, design process, tools, and procedures Clear thinker with ability to manage conflict and derive solutions to complicated problems Project leadership skills with the mindset to handle several competing tasks Familiarity with the full manufacturing process including forgings, machining, and factory assembly/test practices as applied to power generation equipment Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No #J-18808-Ljbffr
