What You Will Do Ensure full compliance with Mexican customs regulations by overseeing all import and export activities, achieving 98% compliance rate in audits Act as primary point of contact with customs authorities and customs brokers, resolving clearance issues within defined service levels Determine and validate HS classification, country of origin, and valuation for products to ensure accurate customs declarations Implement global trade compliance policies locally and develop site‑specific procedures aligned with regulatory requirements Coordinate with brokers to meet clearance SLAs, reducing lead times and preventing shipment delays Monitor and report KPIs including clearance lead times, duty savings through trade agreements, and broker performance Partner with cross‑functional teams (legal, finance, regulatory, supply chain, R&D) to gather required documentation for customs release Stay current with Mexican regulations and trade agreements (including USMCA/T-MEC) and implement required process controls What you need: Required: Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Logistics, Law, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in import/export operations in Mexico Minimum 2 years of experience managing customs brokers and customs clearance processes Previous experience in Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or Food industries Fluency in Spanish and English Demonstrated knowledge of Mexican customs regulations (Ley Aduanera, LIGIE, RGCE and Experience with HS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin determination Experience managing import/export documentation (pedimento, commercial invoice, COVE) Preferred: Experience applying trade agreements (e.g., USMCA/T-MEC) to generate duty savings Experience supporting audits and managing trade compliance risk controls #J-18808-Ljbffr
