Team Overview As the Head of Communications for DiDi Food in Mexico , you will lead the narrative for our food delivery business, connecting millions of users, restaurants and couriers with DiDi’s mission of making food accessible, reliable and sustainable. This position serves as the external communications head for DiDi Food , responsible for shaping and sharing our story in a dynamic fast‑paced environment. You will manage a talented team, including two in‑house professionals and an external agency, while developing innovative communication strategies to position DiDi Food as a leader in the food delivery industry. Leveraging your experience in technology, adaptability, creativity and complex problem‑solving, you will build trust and engagement with all stakeholders. Role Responsibilities Designing and executing communication campaigns highlighting DiDi Food’s value for users, restaurants and couriers. Developing impactful, data‑driven stories and thought leadership that build brand reputation, focusing on food delivery, gastronomy, consumer impact and innovation, all aligned with business goals. Serving as a spokesperson for DiDi Food in Mexico , representing the company’s values and mission in media interactions while building relationships with key opinion leaders, media and digital stakeholders. Leading and collaborating effectively with teams across safety, marketing, government affairs, customer service, legal and operations to develop communication strategies that align with business objectives. Managing and guiding both internal and external communications teams , fostering collaboration and excellence. Overseeing crisis response efforts , ensuring swift, transparent and effective communication during critical situations. Exploring and integrating innovative communication channels alongside traditional PR approaches, pushing boundaries to reach broader and more diverse audiences. Managing the annual budget for initiatives designed to strategically and measurably position the company as a leader in its industry. Qualifications Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Business or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles in consumer communications, corporate affairs or agencies, with a focus on content creation, issue management, crisis response and reputation management. Proven track record of independently planning and executing strategies aligned with team objectives. Experience in data‑driven environments, demonstrating the ability to make decisions based on insights and analytics. Preferred experience in event coordination and media management. Strong results‑oriented mindset, with ownership of key OKRs and demonstrated leadership abilities. Skills Strong English communications skills are essential. Critical Thinking: Skilled at analyzing complex problems, developing structured solutions and identifying patterns using appropriate tools. Communication: Effective in articulating ideas, delegating tasks, managing time and resolving conflicts. Crisis Management: Proficient in navigating evolving situations and managing crises with confidence and composure. Creativity: Ability to craft compelling stories and create impactful experiences, effectively utilizing available resources.
