A well-established U.S.-based manufacturing company is seeking an Assistant Controller to support its growing operations in Mexico. This position will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team and play an important role in accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance. The successful candidate will partner with plant leadership and corporate finance teams to drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support all accounting and financial activities for the Mexico operation. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare financial reports, analyses, and management reporting packages. Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, labor, overhead, and operational performance. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning activities. Monitor financial and operational KPIs and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Partner closely with operations leadership to support business objectives and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Support audit activities and statutory reporting requirements. Collaborate with corporate finance teams in the United States on reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives. Serve as a key SAP finance resource and support process improvements, reporting enhancements, and data integrity initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment. Conversational to fluent English required; ability to communicate effectively with U.S.-based leadership teams. Strong background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Advanced SAP experience is required. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Fluent Spanish and professional English communication skills required. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
