Your Role And Responsibilities As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you’ll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You’ll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation. You will collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client. Your Primary Responsibilities Include Scalable Azure Cloud Application Development: Work with customers to help build applications at scale in the Azure Cloud that meet business requirements. Seamless Collaboration for Migration Solutions: Collaborate with the migration team in the analysis, design and implementation of technology solutions. Strategic Analysis and POC for Seamless Migration: Conduct analysis and proof of concepts for new solutions while working collaboratively through any issues that arise during the migration. Required Technical And Professional Expertise Azure Cloud Architecture (core): Design of scalable, resilient, and secure solutions, applying architecture principles and trade‑off analysis. Integration & Distributed Systems: Experience with synchronous (REST) and asynchronous integrations (MQ, Kafka), ensuring scalability and resilience. Security & Quality: Implementation of security practices (SSO, token/key management, vulnerability checks) and Secure SDLC with quality gates (e.g., SonarQ). End‑to‑End Operations & Observability: Strong DevOps, monitoring, high availability, and performance capabilities to ensure production readiness. Technical Leadership & Development: Ability to lead solution design, influence technically, build POCs, and work with languages (Java, Python, C#, C++, TypeScript); multicloud knowledge and bachelor’s degree required. Preferred Technical And Professional Experience Additional Cloud Platform Knowledge: Deep expertise in multiple Cloud Platforms, such as IBM Cloud, Red Hat, AWS, GCP, or Azure, with the ability to design and implement scalable, highly available Cloud Transformation solutions. Advanced Agile Methodologies: Experience with applying agile methodologies in designing and delivering complex Cloud Transformation solutions, with a focus on meeting business objectives and ensuring effective solution delivery.
