Responsibilities Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts, and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Establish and manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control and production record systems. Develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operation methods based on these studies. Assist facilities and process engineers in the planning and design of facilities. Support, participate, contribute and facilitate the execution of lean projects relating to Kaizen events, standardized work, visual management and 5S. Rate lines as part of CPS implementation of maturity improvement. Conduct training on lean CPS population. Delegate tasks and responsibilities. Prepare investment applications. Sponsor and conduct project meetings. Communicate information with relevant groups. Comply with the safety, health and environmental policy and procedures established by EHSMS. Be directly involved in corrective actions related to other departments. Maintain applicable documented information related to the EHSMS up to date. Receive necessary training to ensure adequate competence of the position and staff. Prepare information to monitor, measure and analyze environmental objectives. Qualifications and Education Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. Certification in Green Belt (desirable). 2+ years’ experience leading lean systems thinking and improvement. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and SAP. Successful track record as a project manager. Ability to see beyond the presenting issue through clear, concise, structured thinking. Ability to support multiple projects and balance priorities. Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes. Strong coaching, facilitation and organizational skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Passion and humility for learning, teaching, coaching and helping others achieve top potential. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD (or similar 2D CAD). Understanding of financial analysis. Expertise in developing and maintaining product standard costs. Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or training. Proficiency in process mapping/value stream mapping and Microsoft Visio. Prior experience with ERP systems. Training compliance with Document , ISO 14001:2015 interpretation, legal requirements in environmental matters, and disaster response. Desired Skills and Experience Strong experience with capacity modeling, simulation, line balancing and time studies. Advanced statistical software package experience (e.g., Minitab).
