Supervise the daily administration of the weekly payroll processing for 6,323 employees distributed in four Mexican Legal entities. Ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll process in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal government regulations. Provide direct supervision to payroll analysts by delegating and monitoring performance and workflow. Acts as a working Supervisor by performing the same or similar work as direct reports. Position Responsibilities: Ensure the accurate processing of the entire payroll cycle including the weekly payroll, interbank payments and manual checks. Assist the stores in update and correct, as necessary, the weekly payroll submissions in order to ensure that computing, withholding, or deductions associated with net pay is done properly. Oversee the collection and processing of the timesheet of employees located in CAT Mexico (SSC). Coordinate the request and distribution of food coupons and print and delivery the payroll receipts. Calculate on a monthly basis the accrual of annual bonus. Supervise day-to-day activities of payroll analysts and prepare proper work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage. Ensure they are properly coached and trained in new tasks in order to achieve a 100% on time and accurate processing each week; furthermore, determine what specific actions need to be taken to achieve the specified target. Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation. Assist Accounting Manager to create annual team objectives. Document payroll processes with process maps, checklists and procedures. Collaborate with the SSC Finance Manager in provide all the information required in order to evaluate and analyze existing payroll policies, procedures and business processes. Support the payroll senior accountant in reconciling the payroll liability accounts and support finance teams with payroll related data requests (i.e. forecast). In addition, work closely with the tax team and payroll vendor to ensure that all tax related information is kept current within the payroll system. Keep updated the weekly Payroll Key Performance Indicators in order to determine the root cause of errors and exceptions identified in the payroll process executed by the stores, distribution centers and SSC. In addition, assist the Accounting Manager and the SSC Finance Manager in the implementation of changes and/or quality control measures leading to best practice operation. Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely manner. In addition, collaborate with Human Resources in order to ensure the payroll checks and payment orders related to terminations are calculated properly and on timely basis. Position Requirements: Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent. Area of Study: Finance, Operations or Accounting Years of Experience: Three to five years. Type of Experience: 1) Experience processing full-cycle payroll, 2) Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and performance metrics and monitoring for in-scope activities, 3) Supervisory experience, and 4) Retail experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
