Position Overview Responsible for the tax area, accountable for monthly and annual tax installment calculations and payments aligned with income tax, value added tax, payroll taxes, and other holding taxes. Coordinate the Maquila cost‑plus‑mark‑up invoices and participate in the month‑end close for IMMEX and USA books. Coordinate and follow up on external and internal audits and ensure VAT is presented timely with accurate collections. Maintain alignment with authorities for monthly opinions, support the finance team locally and at corporate level, and meet month‑end deadlines. Responsibilities Calculate and pay taxes and VAT on time in accordance with SAT deadlines. Apply Mexican tax laws (income, VAT, safe harbor, etc.) and prepare Maquila monthly calculations. Produce annual income‑tax forecasts aligned with monthly installments. Create and manage accruals for social security, income tax, and various employee benefits. Submit VAT collections and support authority requirements for social security, INFFONAVIT, Secretaria de Finanzas, SAT, etc. Define deadlines, coordinate follow‑ups, and close open issue lists for authorities and auditors. Prepare and submit reports for INEGI and Secretaria de Economia, ensuring compliance with Mex‑GAAP (NIF). Participate in physical inventory counts and inventory valuation. Schedule and coordinate the company’s annual audit with external auditors and provide necessary documents. Prepare quarterly and annual statements, federal payroll tax returns, and related tax reconciliations. Maintain general accounting records, journal entries, and reconcile subsidiary records. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and support environmental policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, or related field and at least five years of experience in manufacturing or an equivalent combination of both. Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to draft complex reports and correspondence. Excellent mathematical skills, including application of calculus and accounting concepts. Strong financial and presentation skills. Ability to use judgment and limited experience to plan and achieve goals.
