Summary Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Quality Engineer / Customer Support Engineer to support product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key liaison between customers and the plant, leading customer concern investigations, supporting new product launches, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. The position works closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary quality contact between customers and the manufacturing plant Lead investigation and resolution of customer complaints and quality concerns to prevent recurrence Monitor and report daily quality KPIs and performance metrics Support and develop Quality Auditors through training and guidance Plan, execute, and supervise inspection and testing activities for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and Integrated Management System requirements Develop and maintain inspection procedures, complaint tracking, and quality documentation Support APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and engineering changes Create and maintain Control Plans, inspection records, and supporting quality documentation Analyze statistical process data and support continuous improvement initiatives Lead problem‑solving activities using 8D, A3, PDCA, and root cause methodologies Support cost reduction and quality improvement projects across the operation Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Customer Quality within manufacturing Experience with automotive customer requirements and customer portals Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Core Tools Experience with root cause analysis, audits, and continuous improvement methodologies Knowledge of SPC, DOE, control charts, and statistical analysis Experience in manufacturing processes such as injection molding or compression molding preferred Advanced English and Spanish communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality tools such as Minitab Ability to travel as required Key Competencies Customer focus Leadership and decision-making Problem‑solving and analytical thinking Communication and teamwork Organization and time management Attention to detail and accountability Job Details Schedule: Monday to Friday Travel: As required to support customers and operations Work Environment: Manufacturing plant + office environment Why Join Us Work directly with customers and manufacturing leadership on high‑impact quality initiatives Support new product launches and continuous improvement efforts Opportunity to grow within a collaborative manufacturing environment Culture focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence Recruiters We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third‑party agencies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
