About the Client Contara is an e-commerce agency that works exclusively with subscription CPG brands in food, beverage, supplements, and health & wellness. We help brands convert and retain customers through Shopify optimization and Klaviyo retention marketing. About the Role We're looking for a Senior Ecommerce Growth Manager to own one of our conversion pods. This is a strategic role. You'll deeply understand each client's brand, product, and competitive landscape, and make data‑driven recommendations on what to test and build to grow their store revenue. Our Conversion service includes three work streams: paid landing pages, Shopify theme optimization and testing, and brand and operational support in Shopify. You'll lead a team of a PM, Tech Lead, developers, and designer – but your value goes beyond delivery. You're a trusted strategic partner to your clients. About You You are a strategist, not just a project manager. You bring ideas to clients instead of waiting for them to tell you what to build. You understand their business, their customers, and their goals well enough to make recommendations that move the needle. You are always learning what's working in subscription CPG so you can bring fresh thinking to your clients. You are data‑driven and base recommendations on deep analysis rather than gut feel. You are a leader and a doer, owning outcomes and driving work to completion. You are deeply curious and continuously sharpen your strategic thinking. You care about the brands you work with and understand the importance of retention in subscription CPG. You see AI tools as leverage to work smarter, not as shortcuts that replace thinking. Key Responsibilities Own client relationships. Be the primary point of contact and strategic advisor. Deeply understand each client's brand, product, customers, and competitive landscape. Make data‑driven strategic recommendations on what to test and build to drive revenue growth. Deliver work across all three work streams: paid landing pages, Shopify theme optimization and testing, and brand/operational support. Stay current on subscription CPG industry trends, best practices, and what's working. Own A/B testing programs in Intelligems – hypothesis development, execution, and analysis. Lead your pod to deliver high‑quality work on time. Develop and manage the PM on your team. Collaborate with your Tech Lead on scoping, prioritization, and technical decisions. Ensure client satisfaction and retention. Roll up your sleeves when needed and take ownership of tasks to get things across the finish line. How You'll Work You'll lead a pod with a PM, Tech Lead, developers, and designer. Head of Conversion oversees quality and client success across all pods. We use Slack for communication, Linear for project management, Figma for design, and GitHub for version control. Fast‑paced environment working with multiple subscription CPG clients. Requirements Proven experience managing e‑commerce or agency projects end‑to‑end. Data‑driven mindset – use analytics to inform strategy and measure impact. Strategic mindset – develop hypotheses, make recommendations, and drive results. Strong client management skills – build trust and become a true partner. Deep interest in subscription CPG – follow the industry and know what's working. Technical understanding of Shopify and e‑commerce (you don't need to code, but you need to speak the language). Experience with A/B testing and CRO programs. Track record of leading and developing team members. Familiarity with tools like Slack, Linear, Figma, Intelligems, and GitHub.
