A Snapshot of Your Day As a member of the Customs Global Classification team you will be responsible for collaborating in the determination of accurate customs classifications on behalf of Siemens Energy legal entities in the Americas region (NA and LATAM). You will capture data/documentation and determine the correct customs classification (tariff) according to the Harmonized Trade System to different jurisdictions across the region. Position Overview This position reports to the Global Classification Team and works in close collaboration with the Customs Operations and Customs regulatory teams, as well as interacting with different Siemens Energy Business stakeholders. How You’ll Make An Impact Identify the required information for customs classification and gather this information from systems and/or colleagues of relevant departments such as engineering, R&D, projects and other areas. Analyze and assist in classifying goods according to Harmonized Tariff Schedule and taking into consideration technical attributes required for the classification process. Monitor and control Customs Classification processes. Actively participate in team growth efforts. Recommend changes to current processes when needed. What You Bring At least 2 years of experience in the field of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, trade, legal, or related field. Excellent language skills (written and verbal) in Spanish and English; English resume required. Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC, Integration Point, etc. is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Who is Siemens Energy?
