Job Overview TE Connectivity Industrial Commercial and Transportation Business Unit is seeking a dynamic and proactive Advanced Quality Engineer to support the new product launches. In this role, you will develop the Quality System for New Products Launches within a Project Development team, and monitor and guide the Product Development team to ensure Advanced Quality Planning is used in the development process. You will facilitate the AQP tools, manage and mitigate project risk, manage customer initial requirements, and audit NPI projects. You will collaborate with the final manufacturing location, facilitate training, and share best practices and lessons learned. You will be involved in NPI complaint investigations, collecting documents and in-process records, conducting postmortem review, and ensuring effective implementation of a control plan for NPI shipments, supplier development and management. Responsibilities Own the quality of the project launch and the quality tasks of the project, from initial design through production release and customer PPAP approval (G5). Transfer quality responsibilities from Advanced Quality to Sustaining Quality (Factory Quality) at production release. Ensure compliance with product specifications, customer requirements and manufacturing process needs during design/development prior to release. Monitor safe launch performance and approve the exit from the safe launch phase. Collaborate with Factory Quality to address quality performance issues resulting from safe launch. Organize and facilitate Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) reviews. Implement quality planning and controls for prototype and/or sample builds and manage build records and documents. Complete measurement system analysis for inspection systems and gages used in the project. Participate in product and process design reviews to ensure controls and detection are in place for NPI projects. Establish and maintain control plans during project launches to control critical features through manufacturing processes. Support the development of FMEAs, Test and Inspection Plans. Review and analyze samples, quality issues and improvement actions during development, and perform 8D analyses as needed. Conduct and analyze process capability studies for new production lines associated with the project. Implement quality controls and documentation for the production shop floor; monitor process capability and oversee corrective actions. Review and approve measurements and cosmetic inspections. Qualifications Engineering bachelor's degree or higher. Experience with quality-related activities, particularly APQP. Experience in cable assembly / connector or relevant industry. Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with Product Part Approval Process (PPAP), including statistical analysis such as process capability (e.g., Cpk, Ppk), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement System Analyses (MSAs). Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, including GD&T. Strong written and verbal English communication. Understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 & QMS standards. Ability to provide PPAP validation requirements & approval to suppliers for NPI projects. Foster teamwork and internal/external relationships. Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
