Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure stable, efficient, and compliant production processes for seatbelt assembly operations. This role drives continuous improvement, supports new product launches, ensures process capability, and guarantees adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards (IATF 16949). Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Process Engineers. Ensure manufacturing processes (e.g., webbing cutting, tipper sewing, lacing, sleeve assembly, box stitch, and EOL testing) are optimized for efficiency, quality, and safety. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE improvement, waste reduction). Define and maintain standard work, process documentation, and engineering specifications. Ensure process capability (Cpk/Cmk) and compliance with customer requirements and internal standards. Support new product launches (APQP), including PFMEA, Control Plans, , and validation activities. Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) for production and quality issues. Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Production, and Central Engineering teams to resolve technical issues. Oversee implementation and validation of equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation systems. Ensure proper integration and functionality of traceability systems (e.g., barcode, scanners, SAP/MES). Monitor and improve key KPIs: OEE, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and throughput (UPH). Support audits (internal, customer, IATF) and ensure closure of findings. Manage engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and ensure proper implementation on the production floor. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and ergonomic standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering within the automotive industry. Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of seatbelt manufacturing processes is highly preferred. Experience with IATF 16949, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and MSA. Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and industrial equipment. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Advanced English (required).
