Project Leadership & Delivery Independently lead multiple projects across all phases: concept, schematic design, design development, and construction. Operate with a high level of autonomy, identifying when to elevate key decisions or challenges. Drive day‑day project momentum, ensuring alignment between design intent and execution. Oversee the production and quality of deliverables, including presentations and drawing sets. Actively manage project schedules, timelines, and priorities to ensure deadlines are met. Technical Leadership & Execution Lead the development and review of construction documents for accuracy, completeness, and design integrity. Provide technical direction and resolve complex design and detailing challenges. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards. Guide projects through permitting and approvals processes, coordinating with local authorities and building management. Maintain a high level of oversight through redlining and production review, with limited direct production work. Client Leadership & Relationship Management Serve as the primary client contact throughout the full project lifecycle. Manage client communication cadence, expectations, and overall relationship. Present design and technical solutions clearly and confidently. Exercise strong judgment in navigating sensitive situations and escalating to leadership when appropriate. Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination Lead coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, vendors, etc.). Act as a central integrator across internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. Facilitate clear communication to ensure alignment across all project contributors. Team Leadership & Mentorship Mentor and guide junior team members in both technical execution and design development. Provide training in software, documentation standards, and firm processes. Reinforce design ethos, detailing standards, and best practices across the team. Review team output, offering clear and constructive feedback. Studio Leadership & Strategic Contribution Act as a liaison across disciplines (architecture and interiors) and offices as needed. Provide informal leadership within the studio, supporting team cohesion and performance. Contribute to the development of office standards, workflows, and best practices. Participate in strategic discussions to improve project delivery and team effectiveness. Support business development efforts, including proposal input, site visits, and early‑stage planning. Construction Administration—oversee construction phase activities, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits. Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to design intent. Resolve site and construction‑related challenges efficiently. Qualifications 5–7 years of professional experience in architecture. Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch). Licensure or on the path to licensure preferred. Strong knowledge of construction documentation, detailing, and building systems. Experience managing projects through permitting and approvals processes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite (Rhino, Twinmotion, or similar is a plus).
