Overview Software Development Engineer, Devices Sales & Customer Experience. Amazon Devices is looking for a results-oriented software engineer who wants to help transform the way people shop for Amazon devices and digital subscriptions across online and offline channels, on desktop, tablet, or mobile, and leveraging machine learning, modern JavaScript frameworks, and stateless microservices. We are at the crossroads of using machine learning, modern JavaScript frameworks, and microservices architecture to build new platforms and services that operate at scale. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role working with product managers, design, and engineers to deliver new products and features along the customer journey from search to checkout. Responsibilities Own and execute long-term technical initiatives and build products, features, and services that facilitate the entire customer journey for Amazon Devices. Collaborate with multiple teams and orgs to deliver new products, features, and services. Participate in code and design reviews and contribute to architecture decisions that support scaling and reliability. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
