Our \"Account Development Manager in Automation & Electrification\" develops comprehensive account strategies to drive specification of Bosch Rexroth Industrial Electric Drives and Control Technology products at assigned accounts as well as new customers. Excellent prospecting, account management, and account acquisition skills will be essential to the success of this position. In this role you will Develop a comprehensive strategy for each account with focus on fostering strong, long‑term relationships, while identifying current and future projects and broadening our scope of business. Drive the specification process for Bosch Rexroth Technologies at OEM, integrators and end‑user accounts in a variety of industries. Identify key stakeholders and decision makers at the key account level and engage accordingly. Engage and interact with executive management, senior engineering and technical personnel, as well as procurement and manufacturing personnel. Cooperate and collaborate with other team members, including distribution partners or system integrators, to increase market share at strategic accounts. Determine the market potential by product family for each strategic account. Prepare an annual forecast and maintain a rolling forecast for assigned accounts. Negotiate specifications, pricing and supplier contracts on behalf of the company. Leverage resources including application engineering, technical support, product management and executive management to accelerate sales growth. Identify main competitors, their strengths and weaknesses, while developing a comprehensive sales growth strategy. Provide input to product management for any necessary product modifications or potential new product features and development. Work with marketing to develop sales tools and promotional strategies and attend industry tradeshows. Document relevant data by organizing and maintaining customer interaction within the company’s CRM system, ROBIN. Provide reports as required, in a timely fashion (e.g., expense reports, business plans). Travel up to 60% in the assigned territory with occasional out‑of‑region travel. Qualifications BS degree or equivalent in a technical area such as Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronic or Robotics) preferred. 3+ years of relevant sales experience and a proven track record of success in industrial automation. 3+ years of prior business development, key account management or technical sales experience required. Ability to understand and discuss 3D models, CAD drawings, electrical and circuit diagrams. Skilled in creating and presenting compelling value propositions. Proficiency in MS Office suite. Strong technical background and aptitude; strong understanding of the automation industry. Strong understanding of value‑added selling. Strong, effective communication and listening skills; empathic to the needs of others; organizational skills including project management. Knowledge of automation applications.
