Software Engineer – AI Agents & Cloud Databases - Mexico In need of 4 Software Engineers to join our team, working at the intersection of AI agents and cloud database systems. This is a hands‑on role to support tight deadlines before the end of the year. Scope Contribute to development of features and systems related to AI agents and cloud databases. Work within a Google environment (google3) on evolving project needs. Build across backend, infrastructure, and application layers. Develop and maintain evaluation frameworks for agentic systems. Support a mix of engineering tasks as project scope evolves. Required Prior experience working at Google with google3. Strong generalist software engineering skills. Ability to work on‑site in Sunnyvale. Experience with Python and/or Go. Familiarity with Borg‑based development environments and/or GitHub workflows. Experience with generative AI, coding agents, and agentic applications (e.g., tool use, MCP, evals). Experience contributing to open‑source projects (GitHub). Experience creating, running, and maintaining evaluations for agentic systems. Pluses Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with relational database internals such as Postgres.
