Commodity Management In perfect partnership with the Global Regional Buyer Americas, he will develop and implement the Purchasing strategies for the American region in line with the Corporate Purchasing Strategy. She/he will manage the regional panel of suppliers, continuously improving their financial and industrial performance. He will monitor and report monthly results and forecasts for her/his perimeter and drive the recovery plan when needed. She/he will be responsible for contract management of her/his suppliers, ensuring all clauses are executed and contractual hazards are addressed early to secure the company. Business Acquisition In line with Program Managers, he will support costing on customer RFIs/RFQs and take full responsibility for costing the bill of material for new businesses, which is managed from the US. For programs whose costing is led from Europe, he will cost only the items sourced from North American suppliers and report the outcome to the European costing buyer. In both situations he will focus costing on the following three essentials: Reliability, Speed, and Competitive pricing. New Programs Sourcing Regarding new programs developed by the North America team, he will source the bill of material throughout the development cycle, driving supplier readiness at each development phase. Regarding new programs developed by the Central team, he will work with the Program Buyer and source all items purchased from American suppliers. He will be accountable for purchasing performance and report it to the Program Manager. He will oversee contracting of particular conditions related to the program, focusing on aligning the Supplier’s contract key clauses with the Customer’s requirements. Contract Responsibilities Know, comply with and ensure compliance with the company's safety, health and environmental policies. Ensure that collaborators follow the work instructions (safe operations and safety sheets) and participate in safety, health and environmental activities (training, talks, awareness, events). Contribute to compliance with plant safety, health and environmental objectives. Immediately report incidents, accidents or work illnesses to EHS/Supervisor or medical service. Safeguard your own safety and that of your colleagues. Keep senior management informed about the operation of the management system. System Administration Inform superior or HR/EHS of unsafe conditions or acts. Suspend the operation when it could affect the integrity of the collaborator and/or plant, or if it is considered a bad environmental practice. Report bad environmental practices to your superior or HR/EHS. Apply disciplinary measures for non‑compliance with safety, health and/or environmental practices that may affect the environment. Share recommendations for continuous improvement. Requirements & Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering with a complementary degree in Procurement or Business Management. 5 or more years of experience in Global Purchasing within the Aerospace or a similar industry. Familiarity with SAP ERP platform. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Office and Product Lifecycle Management. Spoken and written English proficiency is mandatory for communicating with customers, vendors and other employees. Spoken and written French proficiency is advantageous, but not required. Skills Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Ability to interact within international and multifunctional teams, excellent verbal and written skills for supplier, partner and stakeholder communication. Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and partners. Collaboration Skills: Influence, build relationships, navigate politics, manage conflicts and negotiate. Procurement Skills: Knowledge of metal/composites procurement, commodity supplier markets; perform cost breakdowns and associated analysis; identify and build procurement commodity strategy drivers; clear tactical and strategic vision for metal/composites procurement.
