Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and architect new microservices using Golang. Build and maintain reusable, reliable Golang code for the microservices ecosystem. Build and deploy services on AWS using ECS Fargate (and Lambda where appropriate). Integrate with Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS, EventBridge, ElastiCache for Redis, Cognito, and API Gateway. Develop internal APIs with gRPC and implement high‑performance, scalable APIs. Participate in the migration of data and logic from legacy SQL Server to Aurora PostgreSQL. Engage in DevSecOps activities, conduct code reviews on GitHub Enterprise, and uphold high standards of code quality and security. Implement and monitor logging, metrics, and tracing using CloudWatch, X‑Ray, Grafana Cloud, and OpenSearch. Collaborate within an Agile methodology, utilizing JIRA for task management and Confluence for documentation. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience focusing on Golang. Hands‑on experience building and deploying applications on AWS, specifically with ECS Fargate and Lambda. Experience designing, building, and operating microservices in a production environment. Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL; database migration experience is a plus. Experience creating and consuming APIs, including direct experience with gRPC. Proficient with Git workflows, pull requests, and code reviews within a GitHub environment. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with VSCode and GitHub Copilot. Experience setting up and using observability tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, and X‑Ray. Direct experience with SQL Server. Experience working in Agile teams using JIRA and Confluence.
